Print Spooler Service Stops Working Windows 8 And Windows 10

Follow the methods below and check if it works.

Method 1: Check for Windows updates (both Important and Optional) install them. Install software from the printer manufacturer‍. If your printer came with a disc, that disc might contain software that installs a driver for the printer.

A troubleshooter is an automated tool that can find and automatically fix some problems with your PC. The printing troubleshooter can fix problems with installing and connecting to a printer.

Go to Control Panel. On the search, type troubleshooting. Select Troubleshooting. Then select Hardware and Sound. Select Printer, to troubleshoot issues with the printer. 

Method 2: Start the Print Spooler service at command prompt
1. On the charms bar, Select search, type cmd, and then left click on Command prompt, Select run as administrator.
2. Type the following commands at the command prompt. Press ENTER after each command line.

net stop
spooler
net start spooler
exit

Method 3: Install the latest drivers for printer from the manufacturer's website in compatible with Windows 10 Technical preview. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the printer driver from the manufacturer’s website.
b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Method 4: A poster in a different print spooler topic gave a fix that seems to work:

Go to Control Panel,  Programs and Features, and "Turn Windows Features On or Off".  Under Print and Document Services, check (at least) LDP and LPR.

Sharing Scanner di Windows

Keterbatasan dan demi penghematan sumber daya maka sharing printer dan sharing file/folder menjadi kebutuhan yang mendesak bagi suatu instansi seperti sekolah maupun kantor-kantor. Lain halnya dengan kebutuhan scan data dari jaringan. Hal ini masih belum terlalu perlu mengingat scanner kebanyakan masih terbatas scan perlembar dengan bantuan manual. Meski demikian, suatu waktu penggunaan sharing scanner ini juga bisa dibutuhkan.

Instalasi pada komputer server (komputer dimana scanner terpasang)

• Pastikan kita sudah berada pada folder dimana software Blind Scanner hasil unduhan berada. Double klik file Blind Scanner.

• Caranya sangat mudah hanya dengan klik perintah Next-Next saja.

• Pada tahap selanjutnya pilih I accept the agreement lalu klik Next

• Klik Next pada tampilan information

• Biarkan seperti pada tampilan yang muncul lalu klik Next

• Nah, pada tahap ini klik tanda panah lalu pilih Install server (maaf gambar harusnya Install Server yang dimerahin)

• Pada tahap berikutnya klik Next

• Mulai instalasi dengan klik Install dan biarkan proses instalasi berlangsung

• Software Blind Scanner telah terinstal klik Finish

• Jalankan Software Blind Scanner lalu seting seperti gambar di bawah ini. Setingan harus sesui dengan perangkat yang terinstall dalam komputer.

• Dengan demikian proses instalasi dan seting Blind Scanner di komputer server sudah selesai.

Instalasi di Komputer Client

• Pilih terlebih dahulu komputer server dengan klik tanda (+) seperti gambar di bawah ini

• Berikutnya masukkan IP computer server, pada contoh-contoh sebelumnya computer server IP nya adalah 192.168.1.1. Ketikkan alamat IP tersebut lalu klik Add.

• Tahap berikutnya adalah pemilihan Scanner. Pilih scanner dengan klik tanda panah (V)seperti gambar di bawah ini.

• Untuk mengatur penyimpanan hasil scan pada pilihan Destination folder & Format silahkan disesuaikan. Di bawahnya ada menu pilihan file hasil scan apakah format JPG, PDF atau format lainnya.

• Nah, untuk mencoba Scanner, pada scanner yang terletak pada komputer server tadi letakkanlah sebuah kertas yang akan discan.

• Untuk melakukan scan, pada tampilan Blind Scanner di computer klien klik menu Scan. Hasilnya dapat dilihat pada folder tujuan dimana hasil scan tersebut disimpan.

Tidak seperti sharing printer, sharing scanner membutuhkan software khusus BlindScanner yang dapat diunduh di internet.

Jika software Blind Scanner sudah ada silahkan lakukan instilasi. Ada 2 tahap instalasi :

Instalasi pada komputer dimana scanner dipasang (sebagai komputer server)
Instalasi pada komputer Client

Caranya sama dengan proses instalasi Blind Scanner pada computer server (computer dimana scanner terpasang) hanya saja pada saat Select Component pilih Install Client.

Setelah proses instalasi selesai jalankan Blind Scanner untuk melakukan setingan pada computer klien, langkah-langkahnya sebagai berikut:

Setiap kali hendak menggunakan scanner dengan jaringan ini, pada Blind Scanner pada komputer server harus dalam posisi running dan printer harus juga dalam posisi aktif dan kabel USB tersambung pada komputer server.
